About On The Grill - Korean Bbq

The warmth of the grill smoke mingling with the spirited ambiance offers a dynamic backdrop that invites patrons into a shared culinary ritual. At On The Grill - Korean Bbq, the vibrant energy is punctuated by the sights of sizzling meats and the aromatic blend of spices. While the restaurant’s layout feels slightly compact, it manages to foster an intimate dining experience without feeling cramped. Reviews from various visitors highlight how the balance of traditional Korean elements with a local touch shapes the overall mood, supported by glimpses of their visually engaging dishes that frequently appear in social media photos shared online.

Juicy cuts like the marinated galbi and thinly sliced pork belly cook directly on recessed tabletop grills, evoking the hands-on dining style that defines the Korean barbecue experience. The menu presents a thoughtful array of options, allowing for both adventurous and familiar palates to find satisfaction, although some might find the spice levels less intense than expected from authentic Korean versions. Side dishes, or banchan, arrive in generous portions, adding bursts of tang and crunch that balance the richness of grilled items. The pace of service is generally steady; servers are attentive yet not intrusive, navigating the nuances of cooking times and helping unfamiliar diners without dominating the table.

Among the practical considerations, value stands out as moderate—quality ingredients with an emphasis on offering a comprehensive spread justify the price point, but occasional wait times during peak hours can temper the overall satisfaction. The specific charm of On The Grill - Korean Bbq restaurant is captured in both its culinary offerings and ambiance, which combine to create a memorable if occasionally uneven, dining outing. Photographs available online underscore the restaurant’s appeal visually, hinting at the layers of flavor that might be uncovered during a visit, while user reviews suggest it remains a noteworthy option amid Lalitpur’s growing assortment of international cuisine.

Five star for the friendliness of the owners and their staffs. We ordered bbq pork and chicken. Really good flavours and they cook the meats on a real charcoal, so it's really smoky and tender. Really good service and really good atmosphere. After our dinner, the owner offered us Which was really heart warming. Thank you for the watermelon, if you are reading this. Definitely will come back for more.

Exceptional service! Mr. Jal Bahadur Tamang, Mr. Anmol Pandit, and Mr. Amrit Tamang waited for us well past their closing time and still provided amazing service. They truly deserve a raise! I recommend this place to everyone — great food and even greater service.”

Unlike a lot of korean bbq restaurants, this restaurant has more variety of meat. The bbq is grilled on coal instead of electric inductions or gas stoves. The food tastes great and the side dishes are good too. The food is as good as it gets. However, the service can definitely be better. Had to wait for more than 10 mins for the tables to be cleaned and after sitting had to wait for 10-15 mins more for the menu. Had to ask 2-3 times. The servers seemed professional but seemed emotionless. Didn't see a single smile on their face for more than 2 hours. Despite everything, this place is a good place for all korean bbq lovers. Recommend it!

Lovely space for korean delights. The ambience is quite spacious and the establishment has plenty of parking space as well. The menu quite vast and inclusive of many unique korean delights. As for the food, loved the cold noodles here. The kimbap was simple and flavorful and the bulgogi satisfying. Do visit.

The place was highly recommended by friends so we went there. In fact the place was packed and we got lucky to find a table for three (four possible) on a Saturday dinner rush hour. Food took quite some time to arrive because the servers lost our KOT. They came to take another order and the the food arrived soon after. Food was good. It's owned by a Korean woman who was rushing around serving also. Have a 4 in service for the missing the KOT otherwise the servers were very helpful and attentive. Went again with a larger group of family. The bbq and bibimbap were nice. The soju is also the imported one and was nice. Again we went with family (three of us) on a new years eve. They were very accommodatin and the servers were really patient in making the grill and helping us have our meal in a short eait time.

Authentic Korean charcoal grill BBQ. Although there are no beef dishes, great quality of pork dishes. Chicken was kinda dry so not recommended. Also they got good coffee choices.
